Who:  You! Students, Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister…Everyone!
How: Register online and visit the public library for prizes.
Why:  It’s fun!

Attention Rising Sixth Graders

Great Neck Middle School Cheerleading tryouts will be Tuesday, May 31st through Thursday, June 2nd. Please download the tryout packet from the G.N.M.S cheer link, and make sure all portions of the packet are complete upon arriving for the first day of tryouts. Please contact Ms. Trujillo at Jessica.trujillo@vbschools.com if you should have any questions.

Governor McAuliffe

Governor McAuliffe visited Shelton Park on April 21. While at our school, Governor McAuliffe visited with students and teachers. He also signed important legislation making it easier for military spouses to get teaching jobs in Virginia. For more information, click here.

Shelton Park Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to Mrs. Pontifex, Shelton Park's 2015-2016 Volunteer of the Year. Not only is Mrs. Pontifex one of our beloved third grade teachers, but she also goes above and beyond to volunteer her time to our school community. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Pontifex!

Thanks to all of the families who came out to support the PTA on Friday, April 22! The rain did not keep us from having fun, and this was one of the best events yet!

5th Grade Tdap Boosters Needed For Middle School Registration

All 5th grade students who have not had a Tdap vaccine within the last five years will need a Tdap booster shot before entering 6th grade.
Fifth grade students can now begin receiving the shots from the health department or their family physicans.Please return updated shot records to SPES clinic prior to the end of this year to avoid any delays in obtaining your child's middle school schedules.Please contact Mrs. Stovall, our school nurse, if you have any questions regarding your child's immunization records at 648-3767.
